I have been arrested on Domestic Violence call by my wife ( of cource false allegations) about month back. Police investigation did not find any evidences and never sent file to DA for filing hence DA never filed charges.
Now USCIS requesting following
1) Please submit an arrest record and final court dispositions for each of your arrests. Court dispositions must be in the original and bear the stamp and/r seal of the appropriate court or clerk. If a court disposition or police record is not available, you must provide official or certified evidence from the appropriate law enforcement agency or court confirming the record in unavailable. Please note, these documents must either be the original or certified copy.
How to get court deposition or evidence that no charge are filed against this arrest?
I have filed petition for expunging arrest record but that will take a while to conclude.

Sorry. I explained in the comments that go with the photo and should have included that here. This is a drinking bowl for dairy cattle manufactured by the Starline company, circa 1960. I found this in an old milking barn. The cow pushes her nose against the star-shaped lever and fresh water from the nozzle fills the bowl.

When my attorney filed the I-485 last month, he mentioned the correct name and the mispelled name in the brackets.
Any comments from senior members will be helpful.

I think many Indians might have faced this issue.We can spell same Indian name in several ways in English.
I have one friend who is ready to file I -485.
He found following issues with Birth certificate. Does USCIS rejects or REF I-485 for following reason ?
1) His mother�s name spelled differently in his Birth Certificate. (One letter is missing)
2) His wife's Birth Affidavit has different spelling for Father�s name. (One letter is different)
3) Is first name enought in Birth Certificate or it needs full name ?
Keep on good work of helping each other.

Well then here is 2...lol...
You can also save as a .png image, this allows for partial transparency (sorta like some parts of the image are at a lower alpha while other parts are solid). This uses up more system resources than a .gif though. It can produce some very nice effects if used right, but there is that resource usage issue :)

i.e.
My Name On
FirstName MiddleName LastName
SSN is : RAMAKRISHNA PRASAD BARU

Simmilar situation with my company- Company A merged with (B-India) and named as C .
We were informed all is well and taken care of with company's legal team.
Immediately after merger, I also got stamped in Chennai with old company name A in I 797 and enterd with I 94 at POE without any problem.
So it seems this may not be an issue. It isonly my opinion and personal experience.
Now a days many companys are following this route to cope up with new lottery H1 issues.

Mmm.. here is a wrinkle scenario.. though it does not technically belong here...
I was overseas for a year (posted to another branch of the company, in another country, not my country of origin, for a year), just returned to US.
Would I be considered as "in US" all the time? And would I be considered to be "in US" for the time I was posted abroad?
The reason I'm asking is that given the way this is going with this legislation if if goes through, it might be better to be an "illegal" rather than legal. I see Zero talk about people in our situation (legal nomads).
Let us get to the bottom line.. is this legislation strategically really good for us? Is a "sneak" legislation better for us than a blanket amnesty which equates an illegal hedge pruner to a legal high skilled worker and makes no distinction?
Does it make more sense for us to have this legislation scuttled than face the prospect of seeing your friendly neighbourhood illegal plumber get on the gravy train while you wait and wait? (People like me would be waiting anyway even without this legislation)
I would really appreciate a strategic FAQ: What are we really fighting for here.. what are the likely compromises on the way..

There was a report on Mathew Oh's site that
some people travelled in 2008 got a messed up I-94
forms( printing bug). So whoever travelled in 2008
may want to have a very good look at their I-94 and
correct it if needed.

Hi,
Currently I am in US in H1B and my I-94 is expires in Sept 30 2010 and there is an extension filed for my H1.
In the mean time I want to file I-130 and I-485 based on my brothers citizenship.
Whether the status will change before sept 30 2010? Also if I leave US whether the application will be still valid and how much time it takes to get an approval for both?

Family 4th preference is retrogressed by a decade ( or two if you are from Philippines), so you may have to wait another 10 years to be eligible to file i-485.:confused:

i just noticed your post. i am from portland, oregon. so count me in also. i had posted a message on the orgon state chapter a while ago and have not had a single response yet.
