If EB2 you may receive within 2 to 4 years from your PD and if EB3 then 4 to 6 years from your PD. But it will change postively if there is increase of GC temporary or permanent. It will change negatively if they increase H1b and not GC

I think one always has to take PR claims with a few grains of salt (yes, including Canon's). As always, I'll wait for the reviews to come out before making any judgements, but I'm afraid unless Nikon does something about their lack of ultra-long primes with VR and their lack of any usable PC lenses, I'm going to be a Canon convert (if / when I go DSLR).

I received this email two days ago:
On November 13, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 during business hours.
Does this constitute as a GC approval ?
I read in other threads that a "card ordered" email follows the GC approval but I haven't received the email (nor the physical card yet).
Does it normally take 1 or more weeks for the physical card to arrive after approval ?

Thanks for the reply.But in my H1-B petition the DOB is correctly enetered.In my H1 stamping(Visa) the DOB is not correctly enetered.When i went to Driving licence office they checked my passport DOB and Stamped VISa DOB.and they asked me to get the DOB corrected in the Visa.one of my friend suggested me to goto INFOPASS and get it corrected.
Do u have any idea?

I am applying for my AP and EAD renewal, please help me with few questions:
For EAD:
14) Manner of last entry: H4? (I was on H4 when I last entered)
15) Current Immigration Status: AOS? (My husband received his GC)

Yeah many people got the I-140 update who files in July. What was your PD on LC Sub? If you pD was too old then you would have got your GC by now.

I assume u r returing US worker i.e means that ur just getting ur H1B extended in that case u can choose any consulate in your home country.i recently got stamped at New Delhi Embassy but my consulate is Mumbai.
Since I could not get dates for Mumbai consulate during my visit to India even though i paid my fees at HDFC mumbai branch. it should not matter as long as u pay your fees and u r a returning worker.

I am currently in the U.S on H1b for the past 4 years. My H1b is for a computer programmer. I work my day job in that capacity. My Labor certification in under process. I have also been auditioning as an actor for Commercials and Industrial Films. It looks like I may be cast in an industrial film. My question is : If I accept the part, will this violate the terms of my H1-b ? Also, if I am approved for an EAD down the road, can I use the EAD to do acting work on the side ? Can anyone share the experience of H1 Visa stamping in Hyderabad. As per their web site they need quite a lot of documentation. Not sure if such doecumentation is required for visa revalidation (same category - H1) as well.

Documents asked were recent paystubs and last year's W2.

The use of H1b is extensive just to promote false news....
H1b and Greencards are used in the same context. Many 'technology' magazines don't like either GC's or H1b's.
GC process is a 'fair' atleast when it comes to prevailing wage and so they quote 'H1b' quite often to build up their case.

I had the same problem with my PERM. my last name had an extra letter in the end at one place but was fine at the other place. My perm was approved without any issues.
At I-140 stage my lawyer made a note of this to USCIS and now my I-140 was also approved without any issues.
I am pretty sure your audit is not related to that because they have no way to to know your real name! at the labor stage
